Just remember few things before you prepare your self to pay the F1 Student visa Fees.

  1. Reach the Bank before 3:30 PM in the weekdays and before 12:30 PM in the Weekends on Saturdays.
  2. Carry you own passport with the copy of the front page of your passport. Even though the bank will take the copy of the passport but it would be better to keep the original passport to prove that the copy is real. It will only take 15 Min to fill the form and deposit it.

Now lets go with the fee Instructions

  1. F1 Visa application fees (MRV Fee): USA $131 payable in the INDIA INR equivalent at consular exchange rate.
  2. F1 Visa application fees is Rs 6550 and the Service Charge is Rs 374 which includes VFS’ service charge Rs 359/- & Bank service charge Rs15/- (inclusive of Service Tax @ 10% and Education Tax @0.30%)
* It is always recommended that you should pay the Visa fees in cash and not in DD as the process of cash deposit is much faster than DD.

Lets move with the experience, as you enter in the bank you will have to ask the bank receptionist where the visa fees is been deposited as the counter is not same as the other deposit counter in the bank. The visa fee counter is different and is generally run with the foreign exchange counter. Once you are at the correct place ask for the visa deposit slip. The slip contains three color slip : White, Pink and Blue. Please do not detach the slip and fill the visa slip as given i.e the white form at the top. Now the form will contain fields such as :

Hey, I just wanted to find out. In case my Visa gets rejected, can I reapply with the same “USA MRV Visa Fee Deposit Slip”? I know it sounds stupid. But I’m asking this because when my Visa got rejected, my copy of the deposit slip and the Consulates copy of the slip were still with me. Also, the only change I noticed was that, one of the barcode stickers on the Consulate’s copy was removed and stuck on my passport.

  12. Yes , Definitely you can reapply , but you should know that as the visa get rejected the chance to get the Visa becomes less. Basically what the USA VISA embassy is looking in this case is whether the condition has changed from the last time or Not on which your VISA have been Rejected…
