Maths Formulas

Triangle Perimeter = S1 + S2 + S3
Triangle Area = 1⁄2bh
Equilateral Triangle = √3/4 * a2
Hight of Equilateral Triangle = √3/4 * a

Square Perimeter = 4S
Square Area = S × S, or S2

Rectangle Perimeter = 2(b + h), or 2b + 2h
Rectangle Area = bh, or lw

Parallelogram Perimeter = 2(l + w), or 2l + 2w
Parallelogram Area = bh

Trapezoid Perimeter = b1 + b2 + S1 + S2
Trapezoid Area = 1⁄2h(b1 + b2)

Circle Circumference = 2πr, or πd
Circle Area = πr2

Cube Volume = S x S x S = S3
Surface Area = S x S x 6 = S2 X 6
Diagonal of Cube = √3a2

Sphere Volume = 4/3 πr3
Surface Area = 4πr3

Cylinder Volume = πr2h
Total Surface Volume = 2( πrh )
Total Covered Surface Area= (2πrh + πr2)

Cone Volume =1/3 πr2h
Total Covered Surface Area = πr2l
Total Surface Area= πr2l + πr2

Rectangular Prism Volume = l x w x h
Surface area = 2(lw) + 2(lh) + 2(wh)

Pythagorean theorem a2 + b2 = c2 (The sum of the square of the legs of a right triangle equals the square of the hypotenuse. This is known us the Pythagorean theorem)

Apollonius Theorem 2 X (median)2 = 2(1/2 of third side)2 = Sum of squares of the other two sides
