Is New GMAT Integrated Reasoning Section difficult ?

Integrated Reasoning Section will be for 30 minutes and consists of 12 questions. How ever the total time will remain the same i.e. 3 hours 30 minutes for the exam. There are interactive questions which will have data from multiple sources. The Integrated Reasoning Section includes FOUR QUESTION–TYPE FORMATS.

New study material for Integrated Reasoning format and sample questions will be available on the GMAC website from April 2012. Students who would be applying for the exam after or in April can check the website for the latest samples.

These four main Integrated Reasoning Section question- type formats are-

  • Graphic Interpretation
    • Table Analysis
    • Multiple-source reasoning
    • Two part Analysis

1. Graphic Interpretation includes multiple-choice question based on images, which evaluates the student’s ability to interpret data presented graphically.

2. Table Analysis will be based on the tables which can be sorted in various ways which evaluates the data analysis ability.

 3. Multiple-source reasoning includes the questions from same      data which tests the ability to analyze different types of information

4. Two- part Analysis will be based on a wide range of content and it may be verbal, quantitative, or combination of both. It includes text and solutions that have two components and answers are given in a table format with a column and rows.
